Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication. I read this on Pinterest yesterday. Liked and repinned.
I think Michael Chase's photography is this quote in action. Not only do his works exhibit an air of sophistication, but they also prove that sometimes it's the simplest things that are the most beautiful. I mean I caught myself thinking "wow look at that curb..."
The ability to find and appreciate beauty in unlikely places is a rare gift. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day, get annoyed, pick a fight... but why is that easier? I think I'll try practicing what Elizabeth Gilbert called Diligent Joy and consciously choose to enjoy the simple things throughout my day... like a pastel brick wall or a hot pink curb. That sounds much more fun, don't cha think?
