BRING IT, 2015

2015

Guys, how is it holiday time already!! This year FLEW by... but you know the rules: time flies when you're having FUN. Right? Sure, why not.

2014 has definitely been a learning and growing year (I have a feeling every year will be a learning and growing year!). I've learned so much about where I want to go with graphic design, what I want to offer, who I'd love to work with, and what my bigger vision is for artsocial.

I'm taking some baby steps and some moderately high jumps to get closer to that vision, and I cannot wait to share errthang with ya.

One goal I've already put in motion is to continue offering in-house design services. After taking away that service this summer, I immediately regretted it. I thought omg what am I doing, I love being an in-house designer!!

I thought I needed to move on to bigger projects, one-time projects, all the projects. Such a mistake... just because I can do all the things, doesn't mean I should. Rookie move.

Sure, taking away a service and then bringing it right back might make me look like a nutbag. But what's more important to me is staying true to the offerings that light me up and help my clients the most. Bottom line is, I want artsocial to be valuable and helpful and FUN. Otherwise, what's the point, eh?

So what else is up my 2015 sleeve you ask?? Well... the artsocial shop - ah! So excited about this. If you aren't already, make sure you sign up for blog updates to be the first to hear about it! Doors open January 5th. Exclusive logo design made so so easy... and other goodies too. It's all about ease in 2015, y'all.

I'll also be starting a collaboration in 2015 that is going to be pure MAGIC. Ohmygah I can't wait.

Normally, I feel sad when a year comes to a close... but there's something about 2015 that feels really really exciting. What are you looking forward to most in 2015?

Happy Holidays, friends!! Talk soon :)

12 MORE DAYS 'TIL CHRISTMAS

artsocial-gift-guide Whaaa! I can't believe it's almost Christmas. We got a tree last weekend and it put me in the Christmas spirit SO fast. I think it's that tree smell... it brought back so many memories of decorating Christmas trees at my dad's house. And we got a BIG tree this time. No more tiny-I-live-in-an-apartment trees for this girl!

Anyhoo, I wanted to share one last batch of favorites from my ultimate gift guide - which I really should've called Erin's Giant Wish List, because I want e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

P.S. a motorcycle scarf?? I know. I've been watching a ton of Sons of Anarchy lately... no spoilers! I'm only on season 5. I could never pull off a motorcycle scarf, so please get it for yourself or someone you know so I can live vicariously through your badass fashion sense.

Happy final shopping days, friends!!

THE ULTIMATE GIFT GUIDE IS BACK

artsocial ultimate gift guide I had so much fun sharing my favorite things for the holidays last year, I'm doin' it again! And this year, I'm going all in. I'm starting early - because if you're anything like me, waiting until December to shop gives you major anxiety AND you'd rather order everything online to stay as far away from a mall as possible.

So it's on. STARTING TODAY! Gifts for your besties, your sisters and your misters. I'll be adding to it until December 18th so there will be plenty of goodies to pick from. Whoop whoop!

Check out the full guide here or following along via pinterest!

VALENTINE'S DAY. GET EXCITED.

ur-hot

Who's super stoked for Valentine's Day tomorrow?! Okay, I know a lot of people hate the holiday, but I think they might just be looking at it from the wrong perspective...

Here are 5 reasons to be grateful for all the lurve tomorrow, whether you're in a relationship or ridin' solo dolo.

01 TREATS. This time of year requires anything and everything pink & sugary... or chocolatey. I recommend these mini doughnuts.

02 DIYS. Like we need an excuse to get creative, amIright?? While I exercise my creative muscles on the reg, holidays definitely motivate me to do more and try new things. Pinterest is blowin' up with Valentine's projects. Psst these diy heart pillows will look good alllllll year round. Bonus.

03 TREAT YO'SELF. You have to do something nice for yourself on Valentine's Day. Whether you're getting dolled up for a date, having a galentine's par-tay, or watching netflix in the tub, treat yourself tomorrow, k? I'll definitely be trying this XO manicure.

04 FREE STUFF. Always a good thing. Lots of places offer free stuff / deals on Valentine's Day. I found free donuts, waffles, and pie! just from one quick google. Go forth and google, my friends. Here's one site to getcha goin'.

05 FREEDOM. Do whatcha want. Celebrate, don't celebrate. Watch a rom-com, watch a scary movie (I recommend You're Next. Ohmygah, watch it). As adults, we get to decide how we want to celebrate (or not celebrate) on the 14th. Use it as an excuse to do what you reeeeaaally want.

P.S. AND as adults, we no longer have to hand out valentines to our classmates. How awful was that??! Thank god that's over.

P.P.S. Be sure to check back in tomorrow! In honor of Valentine's Day, my favorite-est photographer is hosting a very special / cramazing giveaway. I'll be super jelly of whoever wins this one.

THE MERRY BERRY MOCKTAIL

the merry berry mocktail If you follow my shenanigans on social media you know I just co-hosted the holiday Eat Drink Create event at West Elm here in Denver. Oh my, did we have fun. There will be photos and video very soon, I promise!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share the recipe for the deeelicious cocktail - ahem mocktail - we enjoyed that night. It's sweet, it's a gorgeous holiday color, it's the Merry Berry Mocktail. And P.S. it's made with zero calorie Zevia which means it's a lower calorie mocktail so basically THE BEST EVER.

While we made ours a mocktail, I highly recommend the cocktail version. Just add a splash of vodka. Ohmygah I'm tellin' ya, it's perfect for the holidays. Merry Berries for all, I say.

Cheers!

the merry berry mocktail

Ingredients

+ cranberry juice + orange juice + Lemon Lime Twist Zevia + ice + vodka (optional)

Directions

Pour equal parts cranberry juice, orange juice, and Lemon Lime Twist Zevia into a cocktail shaker (example: 2 oz. of each for one drink). Give it a little shake, pour into your favorite glass, and enjoy. Happy holidays to YOU.

This little gem is on the sweeter side, so throw in a few extra ice cubes and you'll be good to go! OR add some vodka, it balances the sweetness like a charm.

This post and the Merry Berry Mocktail was made possible by Zevia. Without their generous support, Eat Drink Create would not have been so merry nor the beverages so delicious. Thank you, Zevia!

SHINE ON. IT'S HOLIDAY TIME.

shine-onIt's holiday tiiiiime! And that means wearing more shiny, sparkly things is required. To be honest thought, I never go all out. I just can't commit to an all sequin dress or bright red lipstick. I know, it's chic and so holiday-like! But it's just not my style, ya know?

Each year, I like to pick a few sparkly items to integrate into my wardrobe. I'm still in love with my metallic gold ban.do pom, but that glitter headband is callin' my name... what do you think? With holiday parties coming up - and one mega party in particular, Eat Drink Create! - it's time for some extra sparkly accessories.

What's your favorite outfit or accessory to wear for the holidays?

P.S. starting on Friday I'll be sharing ALL of my favorite sparkly things + gifts for the holidays in my very first gift shop with rewardStyle!! I've collected so much cuteness, guys, I can't wait to share everything with you!
