Artist Kari Tarr has taken Josef Albers' famous series Homage to the Square and added a little magic, a little pizazz, a little dazzle.
Albers' Homage to the Square series consisted of hundreds of paintings, all basically concentric squares in different colors. Albers felt the works reflected his belief that art originates in "the discrepancy between physical fact and psychic effect." Yeah I don't know what that means either... the man just loved squares, yo. And Kari just loves glitter. And I love them both.
Thank you to Jessica for telling me about Glittered Albers!
