The Art Drank // 12

So you'll never guess what I saw this weekend... trees with changing leaves!! It's not that time already is it?? It's only August. I simply refuse to believe fall is around the corner. Clearly those trees had a disease that caused their leaves to turn autumnal colors. Yep. I might be in denial. Sighhh... Here's to enjoying those summer activities for a few more weeks, which clearly includes the beach and pink grapefruit margaritas. I'm in love with this print by Cassia Beck... and this cocktail isn't too bad either.

Pink Grapefruit Margarita

1 cup pink grapefruit juice (my favorite and the best in the whole wide world is R.W. Knudsen's Rio Red Grapefruit) 1 shot tequila juice from 1/2 a lime red grapefruit (for garnish) ice

Mix red grapefruit juice, tequila, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and shake. Pour into a glass with plenty of ice. Add garnish (or salt) if you wanna.

Arts + Eats

It's always the same: cheese, crackers, wine, beer... big yawn. Gallery and museum openings, while full of good things to look at, are often lacking good things to eat. If I had it my way, I'd pair the artwork with food or drink that matches accordingly... Matthias Heiderich || teal pops
