EAT DRINK CREATE HOLIDAY RECAP!

EDC holiday It's official. The Eat Drink Create holiday party was amaaazing and we have the photos and video to prove it.

I want to start with a major shout out to our sponsors. Seriously, without them we would've been crafting in my living room. Thanks to Yoked, Happy Cakes, Minted, Zevia, and the awesome crew at West Elm in Cherry Creek, we partied and we partied in style. I think I speak for everyone at EDC when I say: THANK YOU!!

"These are the best cookies I've ever had in my life." I heard that several times that night. Happy Cakes knows how to make a damn good sugar cookie. And the cupcakes?! Omg I could've had 50. If you haven't been to this bakery, GO NOW. Seriously, leave work. It's that good.

Zevia is such a favorite of mine. It's rare to find a drink company you truly love and believe in, don't cha think?! Right when we started planning our holiday event I knew I wanted Zevia at the party. When they agreed to donate super adorbs bottled soda for everyone, I KNEW this was going to be our best party yet.

HUGE thank you to Zevia, not only for the bottled soda, but for letting us get creative with our holiday mocktail! The Merry Berry mocktail is made with equal parts Lemon Lime Twist Zevia, orange juice, and cranberry juice... oh and love. Get the full scoop on the Merry Berry mocktail here!

CREATE

What's cooler than a holiday diy station? TWO holiday diy stations! We teamed up with the amazing and talented ladies from Whimseybox to bring our party people even more crafting fun. Thank you, Whimseybox!

It just ain't a party without a goodie bag. SO of course we had one. Well actually we had two because we're crazy like that. Crazy awesome.

How cute is that card from Sugar & Type?! She donated a variety of cuteness for our guests - this one is my fave!

My girl L of Design Stitch Go donated the cutest measuring tapes in the entire world. Fact. She's the best. Also fact.

And of course, I added some disco ball ornaments and tinsel... cuz that's just what you do.

How rad are those bags and custom labels from Pinhole Press?! Super adorable + super legit, right?? P.S. Pinhole Press lets you customize way more than just goodie bag labels... I was on their site for hours.

Goodie bag numero dos included these adorable little gable boxes from D & P Celebrations! Their store is FULL of cuteness. You've been warned.

Guess what was inside... HOT CHOCOLATE ON A STICK from Ticket Chocolate!! Even more cuteness in their store. Warned again.

Speaking of all things cute - Minted donated so many party goodies for us I about screamed when I got the package. Ok, maybe I did scream... like an excited blogger squeal. Their party supplies are definitely my go-to. Check out the cute Silver and Gold party supplies we got here!

The food, the drinks, the diys, everything looked amazing. And I think that's because we had the best location: West Elm. It's the perfect backdrop for a party AND they gave away the cutest throw and a gift card to two of our lucky guests! Many, many thanks to everyone at the Cherry Creek store (Edward, Sean, you guys are the BEST!).

Also, we could never have captured the amazingness without our rockstar photographer, Katie Hellinger, and videographer, Annabelle Mintz of Evergreen Lane Productions. Thank you, ladies! Mwah!

Speaking of, it's video time!!! Get excited.

SO much love to everyone who came and everyone who made this night possible!! I had such a blast and it's all thanks to YOU. xoxo

THE MERRY BERRY MOCKTAIL

the merry berry mocktail If you follow my shenanigans on social media you know I just co-hosted the holiday Eat Drink Create event at West Elm here in Denver. Oh my, did we have fun. There will be photos and video very soon, I promise!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share the recipe for the deeelicious cocktail - ahem mocktail - we enjoyed that night. It's sweet, it's a gorgeous holiday color, it's the Merry Berry Mocktail. And P.S. it's made with zero calorie Zevia which means it's a lower calorie mocktail so basically THE BEST EVER.

While we made ours a mocktail, I highly recommend the cocktail version. Just add a splash of vodka. Ohmygah I'm tellin' ya, it's perfect for the holidays. Merry Berries for all, I say.

Cheers!

the merry berry mocktail

Ingredients

+ cranberry juice + orange juice + Lemon Lime Twist Zevia + ice + vodka (optional)

Directions

Pour equal parts cranberry juice, orange juice, and Lemon Lime Twist Zevia into a cocktail shaker (example: 2 oz. of each for one drink). Give it a little shake, pour into your favorite glass, and enjoy. Happy holidays to YOU.

This little gem is on the sweeter side, so throw in a few extra ice cubes and you'll be good to go! OR add some vodka, it balances the sweetness like a charm.

This post and the Merry Berry Mocktail was made possible by Zevia. Without their generous support, Eat Drink Create would not have been so merry nor the beverages so delicious. Thank you, Zevia!

EAT DRINK CREATE HOLIDAY PARTY!

EDC holiday party Friends! It's time. The Eat Drink Create holiday party is next month, December 5th to be exact, and you need to be there. Lexy and I are teaming up with some incredible folks to make this party the BIGGEST and BEST yet. We're definitely taking EDC to the next level, we're straight up cray over here.

SO, the deets! You. Me. West Elm in Cherry Creek. Treats from Happy Cakes. Sips by Zevia. DIYs (that's right, plural!) you won't wanna miss. Goodie bags for the first 50 guests (with somethin' special from Sugar and Type!). A sparkly holiday photo booth. AND - drum roll - a super top secret giveaway. I told you we're cray.

Special shout out to Minted - we love those guys - and Yoked for making this party come alive. I KNOW you've heard me gush about Yoked before, right? Where bloggers and businesses meet? As a blogger, I know how much you have to hustle to connect with sponsors. Yoked makes the hustlin' and collaborating sooo much easier, like a dating service for your blog... check 'em out.

So excited for this one, friends! Will I see you there??

THE GROWN-UP SHIRLEY TEMPLE

the grownup shirley temple You guys! This is the last installment of my end-of-summer cocktail series. That must mean that *sniff sniff* summer is actually coming to a close. Before we say adios to summer, let's enjoy one last summery drink...

The Shirley Temple is such a classic. SO easy and always delicious... and let's be honest, it's a great excuse to eat numerous maraschino cherries without judgement. Needless to say while making + photographing this drink, I had waaaay too many cherries. In my defense it's made with zero calorie Zevia... so that means we can all have more cherries, right??

the grownup shirley temple

Ingredients (for one drink)

+ 3-4 oz Lemon Lime Twist Zevia + 1 oz vodka + 1/2 oz grenadine + maraschino cherries + ice

Directions

01 fill your favorite glass with ice (I opted for some vintage bar glasses to give it a more grown-up edge).

02 add vodka and grenadine, then top off with Zevia.

03 garnish with cherries. As many as you want. No judgement.

P.S. you could totally make this without the vodka for a lower calorie classic Shirley Temple.

I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I did! Did you try any of the recipes? I'd love to hear from you!

Happy final days of summer, friends!

PINEAPPLE GINGER COCKTAIL RECIPE

pineapple-ginger-bourbon

Okay, I'm sloooowly starting to accept that summer is ending. I decided to express my feelings with a new cocktail recipe. For me, bourbon is very fall/winter, while pineapple and ginger ale are quintessentially summer. Therefore, this is the PERFECT cocktail for this time of year. Perfect, I say.

Only 25 days until fall! Let's enjoy these last drops of summer, eh?

pineapple bourbon

Ingredients (for one drink)

+ 3 parts Zevia Ginger Ale + 2 parts pineapple juice + 1 part bourbon + pineapple wedge to garnish + ice

Directions

01 Fill glass with ice. Add in Zevia Ginger Ale, pineapple juice, and bourbon.

02 Give it a stir and add pineapple to garnish.

03 Fun drink stirrer optional, but recommended. Cheers, friends!

Psst – want more summer cocktail inspiration? How about a spiked watermelon mint limeade or a sparkling greyhound? Oh yeah.

SPARKLING GREYHOUND RECIPE

the-sparkling-greyhound My end of summer cocktail series continues with a variation on one of my very favorite drinks: the greyhound. It's normally made by mixing grapefruit juice and vodka, but I've kicked it up a notch with a little soda. Zevia grapefruit soda. Which means it's a little sweeter and a little sparkly-er. Aww yeah.

I think the reason I love this drink so much is because it's super easy to make and you can't go wrong with these flavors. It's the perfect combination of tangy and sweet...

sparkling-greyhound

Ingredients (for one drink)

+ 4 oz. Grapefruit Citrus Zevia + 2 oz. red grapefruit juice + 1 oz. vodka + ice + grapefruit slice to garnish

Directions

01 fill your glass of choice with lots of ice (this drink is best served icy cold).

02 pour in 4 ounces of Grapefruit Citrus Zevia, 2 ounces of grapefruit juice, and 1 ounce of vodka.

03 give it a stir and add a slice of grapefruit to garnish (if you're feelin' fancy).

There are 40 days of summer left! Here's to celebrating every last one... cheers, friends!

Psst - want more summer cocktail inspiration? How does spiked watermelon mint limeade sound?
